From prototype to platform

Fabrication Plan picked up where Fabrication DC left off. Within weeks it was tracking materials, estimates, job costs and a five-language crew.

· 15 updates

Seeing the work was step one. Step two was knowing what it costs. In its first two months, Fabrication Plan connected jobs to the materials they use, the estimates that won them, and the people who build them, so a job’s real cost stops being a mystery.

  1. New

    A foundation built to grow

Fabrication Plan rebuilt the Fabrication DC prototype on a foundation made for real shops: secure logins, audit trails, and room for every feature to come.

  2. New

Every job, every material, one record

Jobs, inventory and stock levels live together, so you can see what a job is really using against what you planned.

  3. New

    Estimates that turn into jobs

Build a line-item estimate and send it. When the client says yes, the job is created with its materials already reserved.

  4. New

Know what your materials really cost

Inventory tracks a running average cost, so job costing reflects what you actually paid, not last year's price list.

  5. New

Snap a business card, get a contact

Take a photo of a business card and the client or supplier record fills itself in. No more retyping cards at the end of the day.

  6. Design

A Gantt chart you can read at a glance

The schedule moved to a clean dark theme with solid bars. Double-booked machines glow, so a conflict jumps out before it becomes a late job.

  7. New

    Reschedule without the chaos

Anyone can suggest a schedule change. A manager approves it with one tap, and the crew sees the update the moment it's confirmed.

  8. New

    Multi-shift machines

Run a CNC router on two shifts? Assign each shift separately, so second-shift capacity stops hiding inside first-shift bookings.

  9. Security

Your shop's data stays your shop's

A full security pass sealed every table so each shop sees only its own records, and blocked requests the app should never make.

  10. Design

    Easier on every eye

Schedule conflicts are shown with motion and labels, not color alone, and sign-in tells you plainly when something is taking too long.

  11. New

A crew that speaks five languages

Shop messages translate automatically between English, Spanish, Vietnamese, Tagalog and Chinese, so the whole crew is on the same page.

  12. Fixed

Sign Out could skip the subscription check

We found that signing out and back in could slip past an expired subscription screen. Closed, along with a stuck-session issue.

  13. New

    Built-in Help, with search

A searchable Help library inside the app, including step-by-step guides for installing Fabrication Plan on your phone like a native app.

  14. New

    Sales and Bookkeeper roles

Your estimator and bookkeeper get their own logins, with access to what their job needs and nothing else.

  15. Design

    A one-week schedule view

A focused one-week view with the legend up top and a plain-language warning when a job runs into the next shift.

See it in your own shop.
