Fabrication Plan began in a shop I was consulting for. They made good money on their prop rentals, but they were losing money on more than half of their fabrication jobs.
Fabrication DC was my first answer: get every job, machine and crew member onto one screen. You can’t fix what you can’t see, and you can’t measure a job until you can see the work. That prototype grew into Fabrication Plan, and every update since has worked toward the same goal: make every job a profitable one.
- New
Every job on one board
Fabrication DC started with a board showing every job and the stage it's in, so nothing lives only in someone's head.
- New
A schedule for machines, not just people
A resource schedule showed which machine, bay or crew member is booked and when, so double-bookings show up before the work starts.
- New
A library of your shop's resources
Every machine, tool and work area in one list, ready to assign to a job in a couple of clicks.
- New
Your team, in one place
Add your crew, see who's on which job, and keep everyone's details out of the spreadsheet.
- New
QR codes on the shop floor
Print a QR code for a machine or a job. Scan it to see what's happening there, no searching required.
- New
Files and drawings attached to the job
Upload drawings, photos and documents straight to the job, so the latest version is the one everyone sees.
- New
A view to share with clients
A clean, client-friendly summary of a job's progress, so a status call doesn't mean digging through your own files.
- Better
Fabrication DC becomes Fabrication Plan
With the idea proven, the prototype moved to a stronger foundation under a new name, built for any custom shop, not just one.
